How Much Do You Need To Retire?

Members often ask about retirement planning.  One of the biggest questions is:  How much money does it take to retire?  While each persons situation is different, there are some general guidelines financial planners use.  Many experts say that you should not withdraw more than 4% of your retirement assets per year if you want your money to last for 30 years.  There are some very good retirement planning tools on the internet.  Our 401k provider is a good resource for information.  The best idea is to consult a good financial planner, establish some goals and stick to the plan.    Fidelity Retirement Planner  .  If you aren't saving at least 15% you may not be saving enough.    


OSHA Changes For 2015

OSHA has officially published the final Electric Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution; Electrical Protective Equipment rule, which appeared in the April 11, 2014 Federal Register spanning 427 pages. The updated requirements will affect U26 electrical workers.  The rule becomes effective on July 10, 2014; however, certain provisions have compliance deadlines after this date.  Changes include requirements for training, fall protection for climbers and minimum approach distance calculations.  You can click on the following link to see a summary of th changes:
